Read this information carefully:
The Cathedral of Jerez de la Frontera is the old Collegiate Church, an institution that dates back to the Christian conquest of Jerez in 1264 and which was elevated to cathedral status in 1980 by the bull Archiepiscopus Hispalenses of H.H. John Paul II.
One of the most notable features of the building are the Corinthian columns that support the main exterior façade. Its interior is made up of five naves that combine classical Baroque and 18th century Neoclassicism elements with a mixture of multiple styles, combining harmony and monumentality with Gothic structure.
A majestic enclosure, designed by the master Diego Moreno and built exclusively with stone from the Sierra de San Cristóbal.
The tower rises above the old church of El Salvador, which looks Gothic at the bottom and Baroque at the top. It has eight bells and two small signal bells.
